As you may know, our church has moved to a new kind of church record keeping solution called Realm®. It primarily serves the administrative needs of our staff, but it also offers some exciting opportunities to support the way you are involved in our church. Not only will this improve work life for our ministry staff, it will make it easier for our church family to connect with each other, keep up with what’s going on, and grow as a connected community of believers.
So.... If you can’t find your invitation, email Nikki and request a new one. After you accept the invitation and create your login, you can download the Connect app (find the links below) and come join us in creating our online community!
What is Realm? Realm is a real ministry tool.
Realm is an online ministry tool designed for real time connection. It helps our church connect with you and you connect with us. If you consider yourself part of this church family, you’ll love it. Realm allows you to manage your personal information and who is allowed to see it, control your giving, and keep in touch with the groups that matter to you.
Why use Realm? Realm strengthens church connections.
Being the church doesn’t just happen at the church. Realm helps us serve you better and leads this church well between Sundays. Everyone can be connected from anywhere at any time, right from our mobile devices. It engages everyone in the life of our church by supporting the healthy relationships essential to our church’s mission. We’ll stay organized, and you’ll stay informed about all of the opportunities for fellowship. When we share life together, we will grow together.
What about my privacy? Realm is safe, private, and secure.
Your privacy is one of our greatest concerns. Realm is only made up of the people in your church, it’s not like a social network that’s open to everyone. Realm keeps your data safe and gives you control over what information you share and who can see it.
What about giving? Realm gives you control over your giving.
Giving should be easy, and Realm places giving right in the palm of your hands. You may set up recurring gifts, view your giving history, and make changes at any time. Realm automatically records all electronic gifts and adds them to your giving record making it easy for you to give, and easy for our bookkeeper to track.
How do I start? Follow a few simple steps.
If you haven’t received an invitation to join Realm yet:
- Send an email requesting the email-invitation to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Our church is on Realm Connect, so see below how to download the mobile app.
- Your Realm login works on your home computer and on your mobile devices, so when you sign into Realm, use the login you created in step 1 for the computer or the app.
- Check to make sure that we have your address and other personal information entered correctly under My Profile. If anything is incorrect, you can change it.

Stay connected to our church wherever you go by downloading the free Connect -‐ Our Church Community app for iPhone and Android devices. Use it to communicate with your groups, RSVP to events, manage your giving, update profile information, and more. It makes it easier for us to connect throughout the week and know what’s happening
•News—Keeps everyone up-to-date with the latest posts, photos, and events for your group and for your church as a whole
•Posts—Post messages to your group and comment on posts by others in your group
•Photos—Capture your moments together and share them with your group
•Events—See event details (date, time, location, etc), submit your RSVP, and sign up to bring something
•Files —Access your group’s shared files
•Messages—Send your entire group, or select individuals, a message that starts a conversation
•Participants—See names and basic profile details for the people in your church or group, based on their privacy preferences
•Notification Settings—Manage your preferences for group notifications and emails
Profile: Everyone in our church gets a unique profile. Your profile contains everything you want people in our church to know about you. Your profile also enables you to join a small group, RSVP to events, track your giving, update your contact information, change family details, set notification preferences, or replace that outdated family photo. By keeping your information current, you are helping our staff, group leaders, and our church community. Your Profile includes:
- •Contact Information* (e.g. name, address, email, phone)
- •Family Members
- •Personal Information (e.g. marital status, birthday**, etc.)
- •Connected Social Media accounts
*You can decide later what data you want to hide online by setting your privacy preferences.
**Feel free to enter your full birthday. The year and your age will not be displayed on your church directory profile.
Groups and classes are an important part of our church, and now you can connect with the people in them throughout the week. You can keep track of upcoming meetings, who’s bringing what, and what’s going on in each other’s lives.
Giving: You can review your giving history or make new donations online or on your mobile phone. Simply sign in to look over your year-to-date giving, check pledge progress, print a contribution statement, or make a new one-time or recurring donation. It’s always available and kept secure in an easy-to-use online environment. No matter how you choose to give toward our ministry, you can review all of your giving history online anytime: Check or Cash, Online Gifts (one-time or recurring), Text Giving*, Pledges
